Real estate is reinventing itself

Real estate, health, aesthetic medicine and niche restoration will be the sectors with the most departures in 2017 in the franchise business, according to the consultancy specializing in business expansion T4 Franchises.
Thus, the sectors with the most outlets during 2017 will be those with a higher degree of specialization, while those with the greatest increases in the number of franchises will be the real estate (1,076 franchises at the end of 2016), health (696 franchises ), Aesthetic medicine (3,786 franchises) and niche restoration (7,108 franchises).
The Spanish franchise sector closed 2016 with a total of 259,000 direct jobs, 2.09% more than in 2015, 9.87% more than in 2008, before the economic crisis, and up to 72% more than in In 2002. In fact, at present, 1.4% of the Spanish working population already works in a franchised company.
In this sense, Madrid and Catalonia have almost 50% of the brands in franchise in Spain. The first place is for Madrid, with 24.67% of the total (-1.3% year-on-year), while Catalonia obtained very similar figures with 24.51% of the total (+ 6.33% year-on-year). They are followed by the Valencian Community, with 13.06% of the total (+ 11.03% year-on-year); Andalusia, with 11.12% (+ 5.38% year-on-year); And Galicia, with 3.89% (+ 0.55% year-on-year).
"The franchise industry is growing because it is more profitable and safer than starting with a new brand. Companies that expand with the franchise model have a projection and financial solvency that allows them to increase their business volume much faster and With fewer risks, "says José Aragonés, Managing Partner of T4 Franquicias.
In addition, 70% of the franchisors have obtained the expected profitability to franchise their company and up to 84.51% consider it a positive experience to have transformed their company into franchise.
The environment, competition and failure to properly analyze their own capabilities have been the main elements that made it difficult for franchised companies to meet their objectives in 2016.
